Fringe Fest Story Telling

Some words from Diego about Fringe Fest Story Telling.

I love writing and editing videos so I was able to apply my skills to making Old Greeny Fringe Festival as good as it can be. Creative story telling is a huge passion of mine that I love to share with the world. Being able to gather voices from the community and have them tell the tales, brings more meaning to this project. While writing this I am also working on the 6 part Old Greeny Fringe Fest Walking Audio Tour. It will be featured during the week when everyone will be able to learn more about Old Greeny.

How does one engage in fringe Fest Story Telling?

Fringe Fest story telling is all about unique and new ways to present stories to an audience. This tour features 6 parts spanning from Ithaca Farmers Market to the Ithaca Generator along the Cayuga Lake Waterfront Trail.

Each stop features sculptures from various local artists. The stops will have a QR code to scan which takes you to the audio on Youtube of Old Greeny sightings, legends and tales. These audio files are voiced by some of the organizers plus their friends. Diego worked closely with each person to create the tales you will hear. Bringing headphones will help you get the best audio experience. This trail can be walked, biked or paddled. It is a great activity to do with the whole family or on your own on a nice day. It will be up all week so make sure to put this on your Fringe Fest itinerary for the week.

Check out the Audio Tour location details here.
